About
“I write of melancholy by being busy to avoid melancholy.”
— Robert Burton
Why are you here? Shouldn't you be doing something more useful?
I don't keep a normal schedule. I am an opinionated INTJ recluse who sleeps in shifts, on a tatami mat. Think better that way. Most of what I use is remarkably simple: Ticonderoga pencils, Midori notebooks, Hagoromo chalk, a porcelain board, a terminal, and a handful of programs.
Call it eccentric, call it inefficient. I don't really care.
Also useful: Research, Teaching.
Also gathered: Poetry, Essais, Prayer.
Correspondence. kyotam@edu.krisyotam.com.
Facsimile.
The fax is reserved for matters mathematical. I pray observe the following, which I likewise impose upon myself:
- A legible hand is preferred to a tidy one.
- A diagram is preferred to a paragraph.
- Notation ought to be defined where convention does not suffice.
- Pleasantries, and commentary on the weather, must travel by some other instrument.
